Boots to stroll through Polar Vortex Winter 2025

Winter is here and the below freezing temperatures have me reaching for my favorite pair of boots, a pair I deem “investment worthy” not because they are super expensive but because they are long lasting, reliable, chic, comfortable, and something I reach for again and again…DreamPairs Pull-On Faux Suede Boots.

I bought my first pair in grey in 2018, added taupe in 2020, black in 2021, and only recently had to replace my beloved gray ones because I wore the heel down unevenly beyond repair.

The pull on style means that you don’t end long days on your feet with sore calves from too stiff or too structured leather boots. The small heel gives just enough “tacon” or iconic heel click sound to command attention in a hallway without stressing your feet after eight hours on stage.

I have been using these wipes to clean leather and suede boots, gloves, and coats since 2019. The wipes consistency amaze me at their ability to clear road salt, dog drool, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

I recommend pairing these boots with Hue Women’s Control Top Opaque Tights, available in straight and plus sizes. I’ve been rocking these babies since law school and can attest to their quality in terms of keeping your legs warm and a comfortable banding on your waist. Hand wash or wash in a delicate bag on gentle cycle cold to get the most life out of them.

On slightly warmer days I like lace high cut socks or nylon ankle socks.

They also layer nicely under skirts and wide-leg trousers. I would avoid wearing them with straight or boot cut pants.

While you can wear them without socks or leggings, I personally don’t enjoy the friction that develops between the soft lining and my skin.

Festival goers, you will be pleased to hear there is a discretion pocket on the interior lining of the boot.
